Eurofins | BLC Animation
While working at RJDM, the client desired an animation explaining the supply chain of where their leather comes from. They gave us their storyboards and supplied us with their branding assets which helped with the design process for making new graphics.
The general idea consisted of displaying various pinpoints on a world map. I think the aesthetic and feel of the animation really coincides together and the client was really happy with the result. The software I used was After Effects to animate it and Illustrator to create the graphics.
CarExamer
Animation
CarExamer is a company that gives cars a full inspection before you buy it. I liaised with the client to meet their requirements and to achieve expectations. I designed all graphics using Illustrator, animated it together using After Effects and used Character Animator to bring the character to life. This was the first animation I had done like this so it was a huge learning curve.
The brand I created was used later on for promotional material and on their website. I was also contacted for video editing freelance work after I had left RJDM.
MARS Animations
These two videos were for internal use at Mars Inc and made at RJDM.
For “Corporate Affairs” it was a little different in terms of how it was animated. I used a in-browser software called Vyond formally known as GoAnimate. At times it was a challenge because you did not have the freedom like you would with AfterEffects. MARS supplied us with the voice over and it was up to me to create the vision, I had almost complete creative control and MARS were pleased with the result early into the feedback stage so it did not take long to complete.
“Working Capital” was animated with After Effects and graphics were produced in Illustrator. The videos topic was a tough one to grasp and took two attempts as the client was not satisfied about the first version which was made before my time at RJDM. Thankfully, the second time round, the client was pleased with the final product. This project was one of the more challenging ones and I learned a lot in the process.
Autodesk Motion Graphics
This was a fun one. Autodesk had a VR experience at a convention that was held in Munich and it was a success which meant they would use the same experience in Las Vegas. The general idea was to showcase a concept car that had been designed using Autodesk’s CAD software. The car would rise up on a plinth and you as the viewer could teleport around the virtual environment and take apart the car using the HTC Vive controllers and have a good look at all the components.
My role in this project was to create a short tutorial video that was attached to on of the controllers that you could only see with the headset on. The theme that Autodesk wanted as a Tron/Futuristic feel which consisted of neon blues and black.
